LATEST INSTRUMENTATION AT MCV
New instruments have been installed from Storz, Aesculap, (Germany) and Nouvag (Switzerland).
1 Expandable laryngoscopes for endo laryngeal laser, tissue implantation procedures along with all the necessary instruments for microlaryngeal surgery.
2 Special instruments for suturing endolarynx and injection laryngoplasty instruments.
3 STROBOSCOPY for assessment of vocal fold vibrations for voice surgery.
4 Micro ear surgical instruments including electrical dermatomes for epithelial lining of grafted tympanic membranes.
5 Precision micro saws for sleep apnoea, septorhinoplasty, mandible tumor surgeries.
6 Endo video cameras with digital image recording devices for documentation.
7 Temporal bone and larynx dissection laboratory for DNB and fellowship candidates.

The management believes that continuous upgradation is needed in instrumentation knowledge base and human resources. New books worth 2 lakhs have been added for hospital ENT library during the year 2006 - 2007. All MCV doctors are encouraged to attend workshops and conferences with financial support from the MCV Trust.
