Endoscopic Neck Surgery
-New Technique
This newly developing field uses miniaturized laproscopic instruments.Here at MCV we have developed a dissecting scissors,a grasping forceps and a bipolar diathermy which were speciallly made by Nithya Medical Products (NMP),Coimbatore.

We have used this technique for the removal of cervical lymph nodes in children.Avoidance of neck scar is the advantage with this technique.Highly selected cases of thyroid adenoma,submandibular sialadenitis etc.,can be done with this technique.The Ports for the instruments are hidden in the scalp and the post aural skin folds.The major disadvantage is the extra time taken for the operation.
